Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems of Marietta, Ga., was awarded a $16,366,293 contract for the development, integration, and testing activities of the first C-5 block upgrade program (BUP) 01 for those aircraft modified by the avionics modernization program. This portion of BUP is to establish a common software baseline between the two programs and install a third Core Processing Module. At this time, the entire amount has been obligated. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Clearfield, Utah, was awarded a $14,695,916 contract modification which will exercise options 15 and 16 for the propulsion system rocket engine life extension program effort on the intercontinental ballistic missile prime integration contract and will provide refurbishment of 96 propulsion system rocket engines, and 12 months of production quality assurance. Integral Systems, Columbia, Md., was awarded a $13,688,167 contract modification which will extend the contract for the command and control system-consolidated contract for calendar year 2011, with an option for calendar year 2012. NAVY
Bluefin Robotics, Quincy, Mass., is being awarded a $30,329,563 modification to previously awarded contract (N00174-07-D-0008) to exercise option III for the explosive ordnance disposal hull unmanned underwater localization systems (HULS) production systems. The HULS production systems support Naval Forces and the Naval Explosive Ordnance Technology Division in conducting ship hull and piers and pilings search operations. The contract was structured in three phases: demonstration, prototype, and production of the HULS systems. Work will be performed in Quincy, Mass., and is expected to completed by April 2017. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity.
BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems, Inc., Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $25,472,769 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N00019-08-C-0061) to exercise an option for the procurement and integration of various CXP identification friend or foe hardware for the Navy, Army, and Air Force; and the governments of Canada, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia. Hardware being procured includes common digital transponders, mounts, receivers and transmitters, signal processors, power supplies, battery packs, and Mode 5 modification kits. Work will be performed in Greenlawn, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in August 2013. Contract funds in the amount of $486,506 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchases for the Army ($17,209,826; 67.6 percent), Navy ($6,119,022; 24 percent), and Air Force ($202,220; 0.8 percent); and the governments of Taiwan ($999,211; 3.9 percent), Canada ($578,098; 2.3 percent), and Saudi Arabia ($364,392; 1.4 percent), under the Foreign Military Sales program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
Moog, Inc., East Aurora, N.Y., is being awarded a $17,269,746 order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (SPM4A1-06-G-0002) for the procurement of 1,626 kits required to complete engineering change proposal #1054 for F/A-18 LA-d leading edge flap mechanical drive group system for the Navy (1,260) and the governments of Finland (138), Kuwait (94), Switzerland (68), Spain (50), and Malaysia (16). Work will be performed in Torrance, Calif., and is expected to be completed in November 2014. Contract funds in the amount of $13,382,460 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($13,382,460; 77.49 percent) and the governments of Finland ($1,465,698; 8.49 percent), Kuwait ($998,374; 5.78 percent), Switzerland ($722, 228; 4.18 percent), Spain ($531,050; 3.08 percent), and Malaysia ($169,936; 0.98 percent), and under the Foreign Military Sales program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded an $11,882,162 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic order agreement (N00019-10-G-0004) to convert two TE-2C aircraft into E-2C Hawkeye 2000 aircraft. These efforts will support the transition to an anticipated post-material support date performance based logistics solution. Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in September 2012. Contract will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded an $8,801,056 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-10-C-0020) to exercise an option for maintenance services in support of the MV-22 engines. Work will be performed in Oakland, Calif. (70 percent), and Indianapolis, Ind. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in November 2011. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a maximum $29,384,296 firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract for F-15 verticals. There are no other locations of performance. Using service is Air Force. There was originally one proposal solicited with one response. The date of performance completion is June 2012.
